Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) is one of the world's most successful companies in terms of customer service, product delivery, and financial success. But what about the people behind it all? How do employees working for Amazon feel about their job? Here are five things that Amazon employees hate about their job:
3. Unpleasant Working Conditions- Reports of unpleasant working conditions continue to plague Amazon warehouses around the world where temperatures can reach over 100 degrees Fahrenheit in summer months and employees must pass through metal detectors when leaving work each night. In addition, employees have highlighted a lack of benefits such as health insurance, pensions and vacation days which are commonplace in other industries but not often provided by Amazon employers.
4. Lack of Job Security- Employees at Amazon sometimes find it difficult to secure permanent contracts or promotions due to the constantly changing environment within the workplace and limited opportunities for career progression beyond entry-level roles. This lack of stability makes it hard for many workers to plan ahead or make long term plans for themselves – creating an atmosphere of insecurity amongst staff members.
5. Poor Work/Life Balance- Employee burnout is an unavoidable consequence in any industry but particularly so within Amazon where workers are expected to maintain incredibly high standards despite often having very tight deadlines or demanding project briefs – resulting in poor work/life balance for many individuals who find it increasingly difficult to switch off from work tasks even outside office hours. These five points highlight some key areas which may require addressing if Amazon wishes to retain its workforce more effectively going forward, while also ensuring its reputation remains intact in terms of customer service, product delivery and financial success too!
