1. Long Hours
Working at Google means long working hours – up to 10 hours a day or more during peak times. Although Google offers flexible working hours, the work can often be so intense that the employee can never seem to find enough time outside of work to get done what they want done. It also means sacrificing social life and personal hobbies, something many employees dislike greatly. 2. Lack of Free Time There are times when employees would like a few minutes free to take a nap or hang out with friends, but Google is not known for providing much free time in between tasks and projects. This can often be stressful for some employees who wish for more downtime.
3. Irrelevant Projects
The majority of Google's projects have something to do with technology and innovation; however there are other projects assigned by upper management which may be deemed irrelevant or unnecessary by the employee working on it – leading to feeling uninspired while performing these tasks as they feel they don't contribute anything meaningful or productive to the company's overall goals or mission statement which can cause frustration among workers 4. Bureaucracy & Red Tape Despite being seen as an innovative company with big dreams for the future, Google is still very bureaucratic in terms of running their business operations. There is a lot of red tape and paperwork that needs to be filled out before any project begins, leading many employees to feel overwhelmed and exhausted from all the paperwork required before even beginning their work . Many workers would rather focus on creating something meaningful than writing emails backwards and forwards verifying information due to bureaucracy involved in starting new initiatives .
5. Unclear Expectations When taking on a new task or project at Google , expectations may sometimes remain unclear until halfway through completion when suddenly certain criteria must be met despite not having been made aware earlier . This often leads staff members feeling frustrated as they try complete tasks without knowing what exactly their bosses expect from them , leading to uncertainty and confusion within teams Overall , while working at Alphabet Inc (Google ) provides a unique opportunity for innovation , discovery , collaborationand fulfillment , there are certain aspects which may leave employees wishing they had something else instead . If you're considering applying for a position here it is important to consider these elements carefully through research so that you know exactly what you're signing up for .
