HAIRSTYLES FOR BLACK WOMEN OVER 50 Although I cannot pretend to know everything about hairstyles for black women over 50, I have done extensive research on the topic and found some great ideas! Our first tutorial comes from a chic and smart blogger who isn't over 50, but I think many women of color will love her tutorials regardless. Check out her 'YouTube' video on four ways to style short hair for black women. They're quick too!  The lovely Diane from 'Fashion on the 4th Floor' always looks amazing, so we had to share some of her style with you. While she hasn't posted a hair tutorial (yet), we found one that might help you get her look. SHORT WAVY HAIR STYLES If you have naturally straight hair but want to achieve a short, wavy look, don't despair. Kim over at 'Salvaged Living' has figured out the technique and products needed to create this style, no matter how straight or fine your locks are. Full video how-to available.  We included this tutorial because it is a fantastic go-to style for women of all ages. It's one of the most popular looks for short hair, and she demonstrates how to do it perfectly!  SHORT LAYERED HAIR STYLES A layered pixie cut is one of the most popular short hairstyles for women over 50, but it can be easy to look frumpy if you don't have the right styling tricks. Luckily, Sharalee shows us how to style a pixie cut on her YouTube channel.  Beth from 'Style at a Certain Age' demonstrates how important hair care is for us older folks on her fashionable blog. She even has a video explaining her short, layered hairstyle called the pixie!  Our final selection, Deborah from 'Fabulous After 40,' has a lovely layered short hairstyle. If you're looking to get a similar cut, this is a great photo to take to your hairdresser! While there isn't a tutorial on her blog, she does mention which products she uses to style her hair—and they're all great options for women over 50.
