Jon Rahm, Billy Horschel, Dell Match Play and Scottie Scheffler Lead the Way at 2023 Championship

​   The highly anticipated 2023 Dell Match Play Championship is set to be full of exciting golf as some of the biggest names in the sport compete for the title. Leading the pack are World Number One Jon Rahm, fan favorite Billy Horschel, and rising stars Scottie Scheffler and Jason Day.

    Jon Rahm is a force to be reckoned with in golf; he’s won seven titles during his career, including two Major championships. The Spaniard recently held on for a two-stroke victory over Patrick Reed at the WGC-Mexico Championship 2021, making him one of the favorites going into the tournament. Despite his success over the past few years, Rahm will face stiff competition from past champions like Billy Horschel who took home gold in 2014.

   Billy Horshel has cemented himself as an important figure in recent years. He has 10 PGA Tour wins under his belt and is always a threat on any given course. Already this season he’s won twice (at Zurich Classic and RBC Heritage) proving that he still has what it takes to win big events.

   The 2023 Dell Match Play Championship could also see a new champion emerge from among the younger players competing this year. Scottie Scheffler finished tied for second at Riviera Country Club not too long ago; showing he can handle top-tier courses with ease. His game plan of attacking pins could, therefore, bode very well for his chances at claiming glory at Austin Country Club. There’s also former world number one Jason Day who performed admirably last week when finishing fifth; signifying that if all goes according to plan then he too will be a serious contender come 2023 time yet again.

   The 2023 Dell Match Play Championship promises to be an exciting sporting occasion as some of golf’s best fight it out for the crowning glory in Texas next April. With Rahm and Horschel both keen to add another trophy to their cabinet alongside emerging talent such as Scheffler and Day vying hard against them; it looks set to be one of the most entertaining tournaments yet!
